Building the 27 Yankees

Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Bob Muesul, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs, …….

Even casual baseball fans like myself know about the 1927 Yankees, Murderer’s Row, The Babe, Lou Gehrig. This team is not only known for the amazing success that they had that season, but in that season the stars aligned and they put together an amazing team and together they accomplished one of the most remarkable seasons ever in the history of baseball. These guys showed up every day and put in the effort to work at being the best they could be.

I have to admit that I feel a bit like Benny Bengough. Who? Exactly! Benny wasn’t a big player on the 27 Yankees, but at the end of the season he had a part in the accomplishments just like everyone else.

By now I am sure that most of you have read the news this week about Adam Greco joining Web Analytics Demystified, and Web Analytics Demystified joining forces with Keystone Solutions. I’ll let Eric, John, and Adam sort out who is Babe Ruth and who is Lou Gehrig, but there is no question that these three represent the best of the best in our analytics industry. Each of them unmatched in their respective areas of expertise. Now add the rest of the lineup, Keystone Solutions.

The combined talent that is now working together to bring clients a complete end to end solution is possibly unmatched. In full disclosure, although it is not a secret, I work for Keystone Solutions. And by work I mean, I have the pleasure of being part of something special. I’ve been around long enough to recognize that this collection of talent does not come along every day and to put it as plainly as I can, I am giddy about it.

This is not to say that there are not other very talented people out there in our measure industry, because there are lots of great individuals out there, many of them I call friends. But I am pretty sure that there are few, if any, teams such as this.

Me? I am thrilled to be a part of this. Something so special that I can not stop thinking about the possibilities, and have been driving my wife crazy talking about it. I can not wait each day to show up to work to see what new adventure this fabulous industry holds for this team.

Bring on the Pirates!
