Below are the items I use on a near daily basis to assist with web development, Omniture tagging, jQuery.. and such. I stake no claim that these are the best tools for the job, just the ones I happen to use.

• Gimp - free image edit tool
• Paint.net - free image edit tool
• Pidgin - IM client of choice
• CCleaner - Helps keep your pc running squeaky clean.
